What are you going to do

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team supporting one of Western Australia's critical power generation facilities. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of maintenance, reliability and capital projects within a complex industrial environment.

Available at both Experienced Engineer and Senior Engineer levels, this role will see you involved in the full project lifecycle, from concept and design through to commissioning and close-out, while providing technical support to operations and maintenance teams.

  • Deliver electrical engineering designs, calculations, specifications and technical documentation
  • Scope, develop and manage engineering projects from initiation through to completion
  • Review tenders and provide technical input during contractor and supplier selection
  • Support installation, commissioning and troubleshooting activities
  • Lead Management of Change (MOC) processes for plant upgrades and equipment replacements
  • Conduct technical inspections, factory acceptance testing and engineering assessments
  • Provide engineering support during planned outages and shutdowns
  • Develop maintenance strategies, asset data, bills of materials and critical spares information

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Power generation or utility operations and maintenance
  • Power transformers, UPS systems, protection relays, MV switchgear, HV motors and DC systems
  • Electrical network and transmission systems
  • Project scoping, execution and contractor management
  • Maintenance and reliability engineering practices
  • SAP or similar asset management systems

Experience with DigSILENT PowerFactory, power system studies, and Management of Change processes will be highly regarded.

For Senior-level applicants, extensive experience in the design, construction, operation and maintenance of large-scale power generation assets is highly desirable.
